My friend and I are going to Nha Trang to relax and have a few drinks in the sun. Any suggestions for a good hotel/hostel? Price between 10 and 20 usd for single rooms.
My wife and I stay at 62 Tran Phu. We were there last week. Its nothing flash but its on the beach and close to everything. $10-$15 a night but you could probably negotiate a cheaper rate if you stay awhile. Email Nguyen Thi Tuyet at… pbc62@dng.vnn.vn

I was in Nha Trang about a year ago in May. I tried to book places online prior to going but had great difficulty in doing so, esp. at that price. We just showed up after the bus ride and within walking distance had a few choices of hotels. I believe we paid $12 for a room with A/C but no tv. For $18 we could have had a room with two double beds, AC, and tv. These prices weren’t anything special, you will have no problems finding someone to sell you a room for under $20. Keep in mind that most of the smaller local hotels that are cheaper are not set up for online booking, so you will have to take a gamble to some extent.

behind the "red apple bar" on nguyen thien thuat street is a "hostel" but there are dozens of mini hotels in nha trang with private rooms and baths in your price range…i wont stay at the dong phuong [across fros the red apple bar] , but anything alse on that street [and surrounding area] will be fine
